I contributed to the complete Front End development of this application with Michael Gainey where we edited all pages to be consistent with each other. We wanted to create an easy to use application that is user friendly. Our CSS page is primarily styles, but also imported fonts. I also designed graphics for the application.
I worked on many pages along with the front end. I created the Landing Page:
I also created another page which we decided to delete so there is not a screenshot to provide.
The most difficult part of the project was implementing AWS for the file upload. This was difficult because this is the first time I had been told to implement it. It is seen as if “the big guys” use AWS in their applications, but it was our turn to use it. My group failed mulitple times and it didn’t work, but Michael successfully found a solution and it works perfectly in our application.
I learned that this is a group effort and it takes time so do not procrastinate when implementing it.
This project was my best experience in group projects. My group was very knowledgeable, hardworking, patient and most importantly, great communicators. This app was simple and easy to create so the stress was minimal. My personal growth came when I had to think methodically when choosing the theme and how to create something attractive. I also have barely worked on the back end development and want to change that and work with the collections and methods in the future.
